Safety of Maritime Transportation

The Technical Committee on Safety of Maritime Transportation deals with all aspects of Safety related with Maritime Transportation, including Security and Environmental Protection issues. It covers aspects relating to design, construction, operation and decommissioning of ships and other maritime transportation infrastructures and systems.

Finally, the emergency planning measures to mitigate the consequences of accidents as well as safety management systems in this industry are covered by this committee.
