• A non-profit making international Association aimed at the advancement and
application of safety and reliability technology in all areas of human
endeavour,
• To advance the development of Safety & Reliability technology at the
pre-standardisation phase,
• To establish cooperation and mutual exchange of information,
• To promote the formation of national societies in the European Union,
• To promote the role of national societies at national and international
level,
• To promote and harmonise relevant education and technical training standards
and practices throughout europe,
• To promote and sponsor conferences, specialist seminars and workshops,
• To establish a number of publications including a newsletter, monographs,
proceedings of conferences and related technical publications,
• To promote the transfer of good practice to developing countries,
• To develop an honours and awards scheme.
